One new shelter cat brought it and sudden health problems with already been here cat?

Okay teh shelter cat had had parasites and when we got him he only had 3 treatments left. My other cat has suddenly become lethargic (completely out of character) and has some kind of eye infection. And the she shelter cat is sneezing like 20 times every hour since we got him. Help???!
Their both male kittens. The male 2 year old seems fine though.
Also the already bee here cat is a traditional siamese which are very talkative cats but he doesn’t seem to meow at all now.

Most likely a URI. Get some Lysene and crush 1 pill into the food 2x a day. if that doesn’t work withion 3-4 days then antibiotics will be needed. URI’s are very common through shelters

my sister cat Health problem?

okay my sister cat is very fat & lazy & im not kidding hes enormous. He eats alday and lays around the house. I need to know what are some ways to make him lose weight so he wont die from obesity?

Obesity will not necessarily kill him, but the resulting heath problems will. He will most likely die of kidney failure or diabetes unless she can change his diet, and only feed him a measured amount two to three times daily.

The best thing to do is have the vet do a complete checkup, including his blood levels, and possibly his adrenals and thyroid. Your vet can and probably will suggest changes in his diet.

Most likely, he has been eating a diet which contains corn, soy, and possible even wheat or derivatives of wheat, such as gluten.. Recently, I too had to change the diet of my three dogs, and my cat as they had a sort of "fluffy" kind of fat, which is not really fat, but a retention of fluids, and a sign of some sort of allergy or reaction to something in their diet.

Recently, I have watched several documentary videos about how genetically modified crops such as corn and soy have been changed so that they are not only resistant to week killers, but also produce more natural pesticides than is normally produced by these or other food crop plants. This means we and out pets that eat foods which contain any or all of these three products, as well as artificially colored and/or artificially preserved, are detrimental to the pets health just as it is our own. If we or our animals are eating corn (except for popcorn), any soy or soy products, we are taking into our bodies weed killers, and pesticides, which really mess up our bodily function, make us fat and even eventually destroy our lives and kidneys.

I changed my own diet, as well as that of my cat and dogs, and while I lost 17 pounds, my cat and dogs have also lost most of the fat that they were carrying. They have more energy, and their coats are even showing more color, and is very glossy now, as well.

Older cat with health problems?

Okay, so my roommates cat is 12 going on thirteen, has stopped eating, has dropped massive weight in a very short time, and sits in the window and cries…constantly..as in all night long, then all day long. I keep bugging her to take her cat to the vet. I’ve pointed out, he’s older, it could be something serious, that kill him. Her response was "Thats what I don’t like about pets. They all die eventually." So I informed her I will be stealing her cat and doing it myself. She could care less. Not sure if she realizes I mean I am actually keeping her cat (even though I don’t like him and already have two). I called for a vet appointment, and can’t get one sooner then two weeks. i’m thinking of calling around to see who can get me in quicker. Anyone have ideas on what his problem could be, and how immediate it is?

Yes, call around and mention the not eating part. Diabetes, kidney issues, and thyroid issues are the three usual suspects. There are probably other options but hopefully a quick bloodtest can rule some things out. If she stopped eating it is more urgent than two weeks. By then she could be well into liver failure. Cats often get fatty liver disease when they stop eating and then liver failure and it can happen quickly. Anyway, good luck. That kitty needs you

Health Problems Cats Cause For Humans?

Was wondering what kind of health problems cats can cause in humans??
Any kind of Liver Problems?? Or Gall Problems??
Need to ease my mind, get medical results back in the morning, the dr asked if we have a cat and we dont because it might have something to with her liver thats causing her pain.

If a person eats dog food or cat food will it cause health problems or will it be as healthy as?

Since the dog food & cat food was made to give the dog or cat a well balanced meal.
Will it also give a person a well balanced meal.

There are human grade ingredients and animal grade. There are higher standards for the processing of people food, than animal food believe it or not.

How is the health of your Abyssinian cat?

I would like some answers from people who have Abyssinian cats. How do you find their health?
I have a 3-year old male. When I first got him as a kitten, he had a heart murmur. Then, last February he had a seizure, from which he recovered. Now he has to have 9 teeth extractions. I am trying to find our if all these health problems are normal,

Sorry to hear yours is having health issues. Your breeder may have not been very reputable and didn’t do all of the proper health testing. I think as a whole, Abys are quite healthy.

I agree that your cat may need to see a vet, but before you do that, you should check a few things.
1) Is he defecating a normal-sized stool at least once a day? If his stools are irregular, unusually small and hard, or if he is straining as he goes, his anal glands may be impacted. Your vet can show you how to help release the pressure. (Another sign of this problem is if your cat is spending more time than usual licking his behind.) Discomfort can cause the cat to avoid the litter box, as he mistakenly thinks the place is what is causing his pain.
2) Is there blood in the stool? If so, get to the vet at once. It may have to do with a hard release of those impacted glands, but other, more serious things can cause it as well, and only the vet can tell the difference.
3) Is the litter box being kept clean? My 17-year-old cat will not defecate in his box unless I clean it -every day.- He never used to be that fussy, but age makes some animals more sensitive.
4) Some cats, particularly males, have constipation problems in their old age. Small, hard stools and straining to defecate can be symptoms of this. Often a dietary change can help, but be sure you consult your vet about what to feed your cat. Mine eats Science Diet Senior dry food mixed with a dollop of pure canned pumpkin, and it works for us.

please can you give me details regarding the question

What impact would improper feeding have on a cats health? what could happen if you feed cats wrong types of food, other than the cat becoming fat?, what foods are bad for cats (e.g tinned fish??), what problems will cats have when feeding wrong foods, and the impact it will have on the cat/kitten

All sorts of things.

Improper feeding can cause diabetes, urinary blockages, obesity, allergies, constipation, kidney problems and other issues.

Foods that contain corn, soy, gluten, wheat, animal byproducts and added salt/sugar are not good for cats. Meats processed for human consumption are not good to give cats because they often contain too much sodium. Offering too much fish can cause urinary problems and mercury poisoning.

Feeding a biologically appropriate, meat-based diet will ensure that your cat will live a healthy life.
